COLLABORATIVE STORYTELLING

For ages 12-16
Every Wednesday or Friday from 3:30-5:30

Held every Wednesday or Friday from 3:30–5:30, Collaborative Storytelling uses the popular tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons as a creative framework for students to build, explore, and share original stories. Through cooperative gameplay, students learn to craft characters, design imaginary worlds, and bring their ideas to life using techniques drawn from literature, visual art, geography, and theatre.

Students work together to design a shared map, learning real cartographic and geographic principles while developing unique regions, cultures, and environments. From these worlds, each student creates a character with a detailed backstory, motivations, and visual style. Once the adventure begins, students embody their characters through improvisation and acting, navigating challenges and shaping the narrative as a team.

This class blends creativity, storytelling, and performance in an immersive, student-led experience where imagination drives the journey.
