ABOUT OUR PROGRAMMING
The main focus of the JBC is to provide affordable opportunities in music, performing arts, and STEAM. In 2010, The JBC started offering afterschool programs Monday through Friday, which include: Floyd JAMS (Junior Appalachian Musicians), Lego Club, Robotics Club, Blue Ridge Strings, Computer Club, Acting Out!, Musical Theatre for Teens, and Improv. These programs cover a variety of interests such as old-time music, classical music, engineering, coding, theatre, dance, and musical theatre.

These programs are offered in 12-week sessions, one in fall, beginning in September and ending in December, and one in spring, beginning in January and ending in May. Every class is priced at $200 for each 12-week session. Please see Tuition for more information on our reduced tuition and discounts.

The public school system recognizes the difference made by The June Bug Center and has shown their support by providing county-wide transportation from public schools to our programs. Students also receive a snack during their programs, which is made available through Feeding Southwest Virginia.​​

TUITION AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The June Bug Center is a 501(c)(3) that depends on individual donors, foundations, and program tuition to stay in operation. We are very fortunate to be able to provide these opportunities at an affordable rate for the community.

We want every family to be part of our programs regardless of their household income. The June Bug Center has a reduced tuition option that is on a sliding scale. Please fill out our reduced tuition application to see if you qualify for a reduced rate.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call our office at 540-745-6550 or email programming@thejunebugcenter.com to see if you qualify for our reduced tuition. You may then be required to fill out our Sliding Scale Tuition Form. There is an application process for reduced tuition rates. You will need to provide a household income: proof of household income must be established before reduced tuition rates can be applied. Examples could include paycheck stub or tax return.
Please note that not all programs/camps are the same pricing.
